Today, women across the globe celebrate their accomplishments and progress while addressing the biggest issues facing women and girls. Since International Women’s Day was first celebrated in the early 1900’s, women in the US and abroad have made incredible strides in all aspects of life. While women have certainly excelled in the business world (you couldn’t be a better example of women’s success!), much work remains. We’re proud to support the advancement of business conditions for women entrepreneurs and to promote the acceptance and advancement of women entrepreneurs in all industries. Thanks for inspiring us!
Today marks the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day, a celebration of the economic, social, and political achievements and advancements of women past and present. More than 1,000 events are planned worldwide, including the 2011 International Women of Courage Awards Ceremony hosted by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton with First Lady Michelle Obama. As a global organization, WPO celebrates with more than 1,400 women on four continents!
