Ernst & Young recently released a report on their nominees for Entrepreneur of the Year, stating that nominees’ companies managed to grow and even thrive, with 28 percent overall revenue growth and 27 percent overall employment growth.
Key sector findings include:
• 110% revenue growth in Technology
• 103% revenue growth in Life Sciences
• More than 20% revenue growth in Services, Communications, Financial Services, and Energy/Cleantech/Natural Resources
• 89% employment growth in Technology
• 58% employment growth in Energy/Cleantech/Natural Resources
• More than 20% employment growth in Services, Communications, Life Sciences, and Financial Services

The 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® call for nominations is drawing to a close but most regional programs have extended their deadlines to March 30, 2010. So there’s still time for you to nominate yourself or another deserving entrepreneur who is growing her company into a market leader.
The finalists and winners are honored at one of the 26 US regional awards galas in June where the named winners will go on to compete for the national awards in Palm Springs in November. The overall winner of the US national awards will compete in May 2011 for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year® award.
Entrepreneur Of The Year candidates must be an owner or manager of a private or public company who is primarily responsible for the recent performance of the company and an active member of top management. The nominee’s company must be at least three years old.
