Today, the 2010 WPO Conference officially begins. Nearly 600 women business owners are gathering at the Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for keynote speakers and workshops, and to share their business strategies and experiences with women from around the world. We will be blogging throughout the Conference from the Dell Cyber Cafe, so check back often for updates!
Today, there will be two pre-conference workshops covering topics such as “access to capital in the current economic environment,” and “how to develop successful RFPs for the private sector.”
Our opening session will be kicked off at 2:30 pm with journalist and news anchor, Roz Abrams, and today’s keynote speaker is Professor Neeli Bendapudi, Ph.D., from the Fisher College of Business.
Tonight is the opening reception poolside at the Westin, sponsored by Denihan Hospitality Group and PNC Wealth Management, followed by dine-around dinners. At the Dine-around dinners, WPO members are seated randomly with other chapter members from the US, Canada, Peru, South Africa, and London. It is a chance to meet other women outside of your own chapter and make new connections!
Tomorrow is packed with morning exercise run by Judi Sheppard Missett of Jazzercise, workshop sessions, keynote speakers, and our celebration of the 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies.
