A new study done by the Kauffman Foundation looked at the backgrounds of 549 successful entrepreneurs to find what common links they share. Entrepreneurs fuel our economy, especially during tough times, and the following are some interesting findings from this study:
>most of the company founders are experienced, well-educated and married with children, from middle-to upper-lower class backgrounds.
>The average and median age of the respondents when they started their business is 40.
>The average birth order of respondents in their family was 2.2.
>60.3% of respondents said that working for others did not appeal to them.
