The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) will launch a new chapter in Houston on Thursday January 31, joining the Dallas, Austin and San Antonio chapters and increasing the WPO presence in Texas.
As of 2006, there are an estimated 77,283 privately-held women-owned firms in Texas, accounting for 38.7% of all privately held firms, generating more than $131 billion in sales, and employing over 900,000 people. In the United States, Texas ranks third in the number of privately held women-owned firms. Access more statistics here.
To qualify for membership your woman owned, operated and managed business must reach $2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for service-based business.
